Social Media seems like it's been around forever now that it's become such a staple advertising channel. Whether its used by influencers, Fortune 500 companies, or small mom & pop stores, its reach is global and capable of expanding even the smallest markets. is in need of a savvy, creative, and self-motivated social media marketer to build our brand and disseminate our content across that global social marketplace. You will make a direct impact on audience engagement on our site by disseminating our original, informative content and driving traffic to our site from various leading social media channels. You will also have the opportunity to explore new channels that are underutilized, and provide insight on how we can leverage our content to appeal to untapped audiences.

While this role will be located in our Atlanta office, you will be working with content production teams on both the East and West coast time zones, requiring robust communication skills in both written and verbal contexts, as well as the flexibility to work with conflicting priorities and deadlines.

The Role You Will Have

  • Drive traffic and interest to each new content piece published to the site by posting within our existing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter)
  • Develop new campaign ideas to build interest within relevant topic communities and increase audience engagement with new & existing content
  • Establish and disseminate a twice-weekly newsletter featuring our newest content and site developments, with a focus on continuously improving design, and open and click-through rates
  • Monitor current social media trends through a variety of trusted sources and communities, and strategize new initiatives that keep us current with our audiences
  • Curate and moderate multiple social communities, primarily on Facebook and Instagram, and provide reporting on the success or needed adaptations of various campaigns
  • Explore underutilized channels and untapped audiences, and begin developing strategies to break into those communities

What You Will Bring

  • 1-2 years experience in professional social media management
  • Diploma or degree in a related field (i.e. marketing, PR, business, etc.)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across offices and time zones
  • Established time management methodologies
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve, and find motivation in challenges and failure
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles
  • Familiarity with graphics and video editing tools
  • A great sense of humor and a love of science and learning
