System1 Co-Founder Named President and Chief Operating Officer

We’re excited to announce a significant milestone in our company’s journey: Charles “Chuck” Ursini, one of System1’s co-founders, has been named President and Chief Operating Officer.

He also was recently appointed as a member of System1’s Board of Directors.

Chuck brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this role — he was the company’s first Chief Executive Officer from our initial founding until 2019, helping steer System1 through our early stages of growth with vision and determination. Chuck had been a member of System1’s senior management team since 2023.

Before System1, Chuck held key roles at Leaf Group Ltd. (formerly Demand Media, Inc.) and Amazon, demonstrating his expertise across various sectors. His educational background includes a BBA in Finance & Accounting from Washington State University and an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Like our CEO and Co-Founder Michael Blend, Chuck’s commitment to our company goes beyond compensation — he does not receive cash compensation from System1 in connection with serving in this new role. He continues to share our dedication to the mission and vision of our organization.
